El dorado nature center.

So today i visited something in long beach that i have not ever visited in my whole life living here... The Nature center. it truly shows the beuty mother nature is. i went to the park with a close friend of mine sara. and well i fell in love with this reserve. i commend the people that work hard daily on taking care of this place. i will surely be returning for alot more oppurtunities at taking more pictures. but in this brief visit we took one of the trails to just get a feel for it. and well every corner seemed to truly amaze me. fortunately i had a camera with me and luckyly it died at the end of trail so i captured many nice pictures of this truly magnificent place. in this short edditioon ill let you take a look at what i saw. so enjoy!

Wonder Of Our Envirorment

Have you ever taken a casual walk, and noticed how different things seem if you really take time to notice them? well i have been doing that a lot lately and i have noticed how beautiful some things are that go unnoticed. and it might not be something big it can be something as Small as a bug just flying around or grass or a rock. 0r then again it can be something as huge as our own atmosphere and the clouds at a certain time of day. trust me when you really take time to look at your surroundings they truly are a masterpiece of there own a natural masterpiece that has taken millions of years to develop but so many people take it for granted and well it sucks how much of a rush people are in nowadays but whenever you have an hour or two of free time just look around you take a walk and I'm almost certain that you will notice something that you did not notice before. so also i would like to again remind you that our planet is fragile so please take care of it. here ill leave you with more pictures i took of random beauty around us.

Darkroom

Why black and white dominates over anything.... Working in the darkroom to create your own masterpiece is probably one of the most rewarding things you will ever do, that is if you get the chance to work in one. I started in the dark room at my high school. i went from developing my own 35 mm film(standard film camera) then getting to develope 120mm(medium format camera) film and then large format film(large format camera) all diffrent but so cool. then i got to print my own work using an easel and light. THats it all you use to make a picture light, oh the wonders of light. then i got to throw them into diffrent chemicals and expiriment with the diffrent types of methods to change the pictures by using filters to change contrast or using diffrent types of paper or diffrent sizes of paper. working with my hands to create a masterpiece makes me feel as if im in complete control of what the out come will be and i can choose to manipulate that outcome in any way that i please. From working with hand coloring a picture to making use of diffrent techniques that were used before photoshop to manipulate/crop/contrast/everything to a picture. also getting to work with an oatmeal box pinhole camera is really cool the way you get distorted pictures and such so if you ever get to work in a darkroom take full advantage. Digital photography should not kill all the fun for those who like to go oldschool. But also working in a drkroom to me is more of a talent than just shooting digital(dont get me wrong digital is nice) but if you can get near the same outcome by just using your hands rather than pointing and clicking a mouse i get the feeling of it being that much more rewarding.
